Life Redux: A Public Symposium

July 9 @ 18:00 - 21:00

“What becomes included and excluded as life…is now not a question of ontology (what is the living) but politics (what counts as living). Politics concerns these acts and events of inclusion and exclusion, and is only possible without life.”
— Claire Colebrook

Whippet Lab and Social Justice Club is excited to host Karin Sellberg (Lecturer, School of Historical and Philosophical Inquiry) and Elizabeth Stephens, (Associate Professor of Cultural Studies) — both of Queensland University, Australia — to join Jami Weinstein (Associate Professor of Gender Studies, Linköping University) and discuss LIFE with you.

There will be 45 minutes of presentations intended to spark a lively and engaged discussion on topics ranging from contemporary politics, gender/sex, sexuality, race, climate change, and epigenetics to critical theory.

Come discuss this and more with us at the first Whippet Lab Summer School!
